The Details
Sara and Don were married at Maleny Retreat on an overcast day – that did not deter them from having a great time! The boys started off their morning with a game of Totum Tennis along with other assorted lawn games, while the girls shared a bottle of champagne during hair and makeup.
Guests arrived holding umbrellas, enjoying a short ceremony, followed by an incredible charcuterie platter, measuring over 3 metres in length! The Sperry Tent was set up to seat over 110 of their friends and family members, fully equipped with a bar, hay bales for seating and a large enough dance floor for the entire crew.
Dinner was served from the two food vans on site, either Gnocchi or Indonesian, while we set up the extravagant dessert table. Speeches left everyone in tears and the live music got everyone up on their feet. The rain held off as Sara and Don has their first dance as husband and wife under the stars.
Everyone enjoyed themselves by the end of the night – ending with the hay from the bales in everyone’s clothes, shoes and hair, and the boys dropping their pants to the good old ‘Eagle Rock’!
Congratulations again, wishing you all the best for the future – here’s to Mr. and Mrs. Piggott-McKellar! Cheers!
